installation is complete CruzNet window will open and the installed
program items will appear. At this point Windows 95 users can use the
right mouse button to click on top left corner of the CruzNet window to create a shortcut to the CruzNet folder which will be placed on Desktop Now you can double click on any Icon such as Netscape to connect to Internet. When asked, enter your password.
In case of problems:
The most common source of problem is a wrong COM Port entry in Trumpet
Winsock program. This is the COM port where Trumpet accesses your modem.
To verify that this is the problem double click on the Trumpet Winsock icon
and look at the out put in the Trumpet window. If you see something like
MODEM NOT RESPONDING then you probably have selected a wrong COM port in
the Trumpet Setup. To fix this problem click on File field in Trumpet.
Click on Setup. You should see the Set up window for Trumpet. Then change
the Slip Port number to your modem port number. This number is usually
between 1 and 4. Try putting an integer between 1 and 4 in the Slip Port
field. You have to restart (close and then re-open) the Trumpet Winsock for
the changes to take effect.
